Chris from Wirral “(Cornforth White) This is a true DIY kitchen – we designed and fitted it all ourselves. We visited the showroom twice and were really impressed with the quality of the products and the advice we received. This gave us the confidence to proceed with our own design and install. It hasn’t always been easy but we’ve learned a lot and really enjoyed the process.
We have gone for a traditional style to suit the Victorian architecture but we’ve given it a lift with some modern touches. The units are Linwood painted in Graphite for the island and Cornforth White elsewhere. We have complimented this with Ikroko worktops all round. During the design we paid special attention to the natural symmetry of the room and we have arranged the kitchen to complement this.
We are delighted with the end result and have received many compliments from friends and visitors. We have probably saved around £15,000 by using DIY kitchens compared to an independent kitchen company and we believe the quality and finish is actually better because we had more control of the process.
We had a great experience with DIY Kitchens, but the very best thing is how DIY kitchens made some of our units to suit our specific requirements – from paint choice, to bespoke sizes, to allowing us to use different door fronts (wooden instead of glass on the dressers). Without these personalised touches the kitchen wouldn’t be the success that it is.
Many thanks for all your help”
